Exciting opportunity to join Honeywell Aerospace Communication & Navigation product team! The Communication & Navigation (CommNav) product team located in Redmond, WA has an immediate opening for a Hardware Engineer Intern to support the development of the Next Generation Navigation Radio products.

Job duties:
§  Assist in performing Root Cause & Corrective Action analysis, change impact analysis, and Validation &Verification compliance analysis
§  Build custom test equipment or station for lab test and flight test
§  Troubleshoot hardware related issues
§  Develop and execute hardware Validation &Verification tests
§  Simulate circuits to troubleshoot, validate or verify the design
§  Assist in managing hardware development and test configurations

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
§  Must be pursuing a bachelor or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
§  Due to ITAR restrictions applicants must be a US Citizen or lawful Permanent Resident.
§  Must have able to complete an internship prior to graduation.
Additional Qualifications:
§  Prefer candidates who have completed their junior year by summer 2015.
§  Completed courses in computer architecture design, digital circuits design, analog circuits design, RF circuits design or radio systems design with good standing.
§  Completed graduate level circuit design or embedded systems courses with good standing is a plus
§  Effective communication skills and the ability to coordinate the resolution of complex issues is desired
§  Preferred candidates will be a self-starter, action oriented, results driven, and will be customer (internal & external) focused.
§  Ability to work well in a team environment with global cross-functional engineers (test, integration, software, hardware, systems), and who has a strong desire to take ownership of assigned tasks.
§  Choice candidate will also have strong academic background and a passion for communication systems or electrical circuits.
§  SPICE simulation and/or Matlab is a plus.
