Electrical Engineering Internship

Requirements:
Junior or Senior Year Candidate for a BS in Electrical Engineering.
Mechanical aptitude and skilled with basic electronic lab tools and equipment.
Ability and willingness to learn and perform mechanical assembly work, including soldering, wire harness assembly, and electronic testing.
Basic knowledge of analog and digital circuitry, schematics, microprocessors preferable.
Ability to draft in AutoCAD or other modeling program is preferable but not required.
Knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
Ability to work independently.

Job Description:
Assist Electrical Engineers with various tasks including some or all of the following:
Designing and testing of prototype electronic systems and assemblies.
Setting up and monitoring electronic and/or mechanical tests.
Troubleshooting and repair of electronic assemblies.
Programming and testing electronic circuits and PC board assemblies.
Fabrication of wire harness assemblies.
Design and fabrication of electrical test fixtures.
PC board design and layout.
Documentation and release of engineering drawings.
Miscellaneous engineering tasks.

Schedule:
The internship can start immediately on a full or part time basis and run through the summer or to an agreed upon end date. 20-40 hrs. per week, flexible scheduling.

Pay:
$12/hr.

We have a unique and exciting career opportunity for Electrical Engineer I Reporting to the Engineering Manager, Standard Power you will be responsible for the engineering support of an assigned product or project. You will use basic engineering principles designs and develops high reliability electronic subassemblies.
Responsibilities:

· Provides electrical engineering support to assigned products/programs.
· Interface with customer on technical issues.
· Conducts engineering tests and detailed experimental testing to determine cause and remedy for all related issues.
· Assists with the preparation of proposals for new products, processes or special customer needs.
· Maintain orderly records, test data, schematics and configuration control on all phases of the engineering development process.

Minimum Requirements:

· Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience.
· Intern experience or advanced degree is desired.
· Demonstrated experience working with minimal supervision while working in a cross-functional team environment..
· Demonstrated experience providing electrical engineering support to assigned products/programs.

Special Work Conditions:

· Applicants selected could be subject to a Government security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
· Eligibility requirements include U.S. nationals or permanent residents (Green Card).
