GPSS Committee Opportunities: Sustainability Fund, Student Fee

*Committee Opportunities:  Sustainability Fund, Student Fee*

GPSS appoints graduate and professional students to seats on University committees that help determine policies that impact students.  There are two important committees that GPSS needs to make appointments for as soon as possible:

*1) Campus Sustainability Fund Committee*

The goal of the Campus Sustainability Fund (CSF) is to foster positive change by giving the UW community the opportunity to develop, create, and implement their ideas to make the University of Washington a more environmentally sustainable community.  For more information check out the CSF webpage:  http://f2.washington.edu/oess/csf/.

*2) Services & Activities Fee Committee*

The Services and Activities Fee (SAF) Committee develops annual recommended budgets detailing how funds collected from the SAF should be spent. The committee also recommends the fee level each year. The recommended budget is presented to the Board of Regents for their approval along with recommendations from the Vice Provost for Student Life.  The SAF Committee meets Fridays, 2:30-5:00pm.  For more information check out the SAF webpage: http://depts.washington.edu/safcom/.

*To Apply for either committee:  *Send your resume and a cover letter to gpssvp@uw.edu.

*Application deadline:  *Wednesday, October 19th.
