You are invited to participate in research on a new secure login technique based on eye tracking!
The study will take about an hour and you'll get to use an eye tracking machine.
In appreciation for your help, we will enter you into a drawing for one of two $25 Amazon.com gift cards.

The purpose of this research is to test the new biometric security system.
This system uses eye tracking technology to uniquely identify individuals, similar to a fingerprint or signature.
If you decide to participate, we will schedule an appointment with you in Sieg Hall at the University of Washington.
The appointment will last about 1 hour. You will use the eye tracking machine to test the performance of the security system.
You will also complete a questionnaire and short interview about the experience.
If you are over 18 and sighted, you may be eligible to participate.
Unfortunately if you have been involved in one of our prior studies, you cannot participate in this study.
This study is being conducted in the Department of Human Centered Design and Engineering at the University of Washington, Seattle campus.
Your participation in this research is voluntary, and you are free to refuse to participate or quit the experiment at any time without loss of benefits.

welcome to come to the conference again, to take a workshop you missed the first time, or to sample new technology workshops, or to be a part of a "special topic" workshop that appeals to you.

The Undergraduate Research Program (URP) is seeking enthusiastic and experienced undergraduate researchers, scholars, and artists from all disciplines to be student leaders for the 2011-12 academic year. Undergraduate Research Leaders (URLs) will be pivotal in connecting undergraduates to URP. The goal for URLs is to increase awareness and participation of undergrads in research from a range of disciplines (e.g., humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, etc). The URL time commitment will be 1-2 hours per week on average and dependent on quarterly events and student availability.

FLAS fellowships Due October 15, 2011
Foreign Language and Area Studies Fellowships (FLAS)
This is a great opportunity for Engineering UG and Graduate Students to received Foreign Language and Area Studies Fellowships (FLAS) through the Jackson School of International Studies. FLAS is especially interested in recruiting Engineering students - too few apply. The foreign language and regional studies requirements are not exactly stringent so more Engineering students should think about taking this opportunity. This is an ideal opportunity for all those students participating in "Engineers without Borders" to get real funding to pursue global engineering projects. Summer only fellowships are possible!
Receive tuition and a living stipend:
AY Graduate: $18,000 tuition, $15,000 living stipend
AY UG: $10,000 tuition, $5,000 living stipend
Summer UG or Grad: $5,000 tuition, $2500 living stipend.
The National Resource Centers of the Henry M. Jackson School of International Studies offer FLAS Fellowships to students studying the following languages and their respective regions:
