Become a New Instructor for ASUW Experimental College
The ASUW Experimental College (ExCo) was established in 1968 by a group of University of Washington students. It was their vision to offer fun, non-credit classes for University of Washington students and Seattle community members. Today, the Experimental College is the largest-known student organization of its kind. We are more than excited that to let you know that we are *HIRING FOR NEW INSTRUCTORS!!* We make sure you have enough flexibility for time, location, rates, and topic you want to teach. Teachers don't have to have an advanced degree; just experience and passion for their subject. REU 2016: Summer Research at the University of Southern California
We
are pleased to announce the 2016 Summer Undergraduate Research Experience
(SURE) at the USC Viterbi School of
Engineering.
This REU
program allows talented students completing their Sophomore or Junior year the
opportunity to spend summer break working alongside USC’s world-class faculty
on cutting-edge research in engineering and computer science.
Participants will gain valuable research experience and receive a stipend for
living expenses in Los Angeles. Housing and transportation will also
be provided.

Applicants to the Summer Research program should be outstanding undergraduate students in engineering or computer science who are currently of Sophomore or Junior standing and must be citizens or permanent residents of the U.S. or Canadian citizens. Winter Quarter Mindfulness Meditation Offerings at Hall Health
Mindfulness Meditation for Beginners Mindfulness meditation is a practice that involves cultivating attention to the present moment in a nonjudgmental manner. The benefits of mindfulness meditation have been widely studied and include alleviating symptoms of depression and anxiety, increasing capacity for attention and concentration, improving self-esteem, and enhancing resilience to stress. This group offered at Hall Health will introduce key concepts and provide instruction in the practice of mindfulness meditation. No prior knowledge or experience is required. Participants will be provided with materials, instruction and support for building and sustaining a meditation practice. Winter quarter sections: Tuesdays 9:30-11am, January 26th – March 15th Wednesdays 4- 5:30pm, January 27th – March 16th If you would like to enroll, please contact the Karin Rogers, LICSW, at 206-221-2444 or korogers@uw.edu to set up a brief initial assessment appointment.
