Engineering Discovery Days

Engineering Discovery Days is coming up on April 20 & 21 and  is one of the largest outreach events EE participates in each year. Last year was a big success, and this year looks to be even more successful with over 4800 students from area junior highs, high schools and community colleges participating. Faculty have registered approximately eight EE exhibits - including Shwetak's quadrocopter drones, GSA's Laser Tag and Josh's P-2 robot and wireless power.

Electrical Engineering faculty, staff and students are invited to participate by volunteering in the morning or afternoon (or both) on Friday April 20th and/or Saturday, April 21st; volunteers are needed to assist with the quadrocopter/drone exhibit, the EE Welcome Desk, and to assist students in finding exhibits and crowd control. Please contact Stephanie Swanson, EE Undergraduate Advisor, at stephanie@ee.washington.edu if you would like to volunteer; you will receive free pizza/soda for lunch both days and free Engineering Discovery Days T-Shirt (not to mention the esteem of your department!).

For more information on the event - see: http://www.engr.washington.edu/alumcomm/openhouse.html.

Please contact Stephanie by April 4th to volunteer - as we need your T-shirt size and to finalized the volunteers for each exhibit - thanks!
