Xerox's Solid Ink Product Development Group is currently seeking NEW COLLEGE GRADUATES as Software Development Engineers to join our dynamic, fast paced color copier engineering environment. Become a leader in the race for stellar print and image quality by applying your talents as a image analysis tool developer, database manager and embedded software developer.  Take an active role in the generation, collection and analysis of our test data used to refine the design of our next generation products.   Work with a engineers from a variety of backgrounds to collect and organize their data in order to identify, characterize and solve print artifacts at the system level as required to deliver award winning print quality to the market place.

Job Description

  • Expand our image analysis tool suite by developing software for an experienced team of imaging scientists and SW engineers.
  • Become the owner of the data repository and the expert for the retrieval methods for the resulting data.
  • Expand your skills through the modification and creation of software for our various robotic measurement systems.
Essential Functions
  • Write the software needed to implement new image analysis methods for an internal image analysis tool suite.
  • Improve on existing image analysis software methods as needed.
  • Administer the tool suite release process in support of multiple development teams.
  • Expand on the existing SQL Server data storage and data analysis methods.
  • Administer the database for the collection of image analysis data.
  • Assist individual engineers in the extraction and analysis of the stored data.
Required Experience
  • Design and development of a PC based application using C++ desirable.
  • Design and development of SQL Server database structure and data flow desirable.
  • Experience with data access and processing using Microsoft Excel desirable.
  • Exposure to data mining and applied statistics.
  • Exposure to Java, C#, .NET and Visual Basic desirable.
