Position Summary
Design and development of software used for the backup and restore of Enterprise-level applications and databases, such as DB2, Informix, Lotus, Oracle, SAP and Sybase. Key activities may include:
• Design and code software modules
• Unit test, debug and correct defects
• Participate in design reviews and code walk-throughs
• Install and configure development lab computers & software
Skills/Experience Required:
• Strong academic record is a must.
• Good knowledge of one of the following is required: C/C++, Java, GUI design & development.
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP, threads, client-server and interprocess communication is desired.
• Familiarity with Windows and/or UNIX (Solaris, HPUX, AIX, Linux) is desired.
• Other important skills include: good written and verbal communication skills; enthusiasm to learn and to make and meet objectives; motivated, effective, and responsible team player; good problem solving capabilities; good analytical skills.
