What: A Day To Remember the Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr - Make it a “day on” as a volunteer.
- LEAD groups of MESA elementary school students through a day of interactive science exhibits in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
- INSPIRE and MOTIVATE children to explore Math and Science
- Be a ROLE MODEL by sharing your experience with MESA school children
Where: Pacific Science Center
When: Friday, January 14, 2011 (please note this event does not fall on the observed holiday, Monday January 17).
Time: 8:30 AM-2:15 PM
To volunteer, please email LSAMP@UW.edu no later than Monday, January 10. Once an email is received volunteers will be sent a background check which must be completed prior to the event.
Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math students (undergraduates/graduates) are encouraged to participate. Staff are also welcome to attend.
