Bricolage, the Literary and Visual Arts Journal at the UW, needs submissions for our 32nd issue! We accept poetry, prose, and visual art from UW students, staff, faculty and alumni. All guidelines can be found on our website here: http://bricolageuw.wordpress.com/submissions/

Planning to enter the UW Environmental Innovation Challenge?  Teams need to create an account and register by February 2, 2014. Click here to register. 

Official Entry – 5-7 p. Business Summary

Deadline: due by February 23, Sunday midnight.

Judges will select the top 21 teams which will advance to the Challenge on April 3.

Examples of business summaries from previous years are available for preview, in our office. Email Pam for appointment - ptufts@uw.edu.  A few business summaries are available online.  And, be sure to see to check out the outline -  Judging Criteria.

Resource Nights are a great way to prepare for the UW Environmental Innovation Challenge and the Business Plan Competition, or simply learn what it takes to start your own business. . This Thursday’s class will feature Nathan Kaiser of 2Bar Distillery and Terry Drayton of Storrage. They’ll talk about defining your product, identifying your market, communicating your value, and other marketing skills. U.S. Federal Aviation Administration Job Openings

The FAA is launching a national recruitment, outreach, and education program in advance of upcoming public vacancy announcements on USAJOBS expected on or about Feb. 10, 2014.

We will host two Virtual Career Fair Events on Jan. 29 and Feb. 12, available to all online audiences. Ahead of these dates, FAA will provide recruitment information to job applicants via our official social media channels Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin) and www.faa.gov/jobs. We have also created a digital recruiting kit with multimedia products you can use to help us get the word out about upcoming recruitment activities and vacancy announcements.

The FAA encourages all potential applicants to attend the virtual career fair, build a federal resume, and access tutorials on how to apply for federal jobs.
