The Teratology Society will be holding a student competition in Bellevue on
June 30th. The challenge is for students to come up with a novel solution to
technical problems in the study of mechanisms, prevention, and treatment of
birth of defects.
Prizes will be given to the 1st and 2nd place submissions at the undergraduate
and graduate student level ($500/$250). All accepted abstracts will receive a
1-day complimentary meeting registration. The abstract deadline is Feb 15.
Afterwards, late-breaking abstracts will be accepted until Apr 15.
Abstract Submission Deadlines
Submit an abstract that describes your concept in 250 words or less. Abstracts should be submitted by the abstract deadline of February 15. Late-breaking abstracts for this competition will be accepted from February 16 until April 15.

Internship Position 2014A – Electrical / Computer Sci. Engineering
Description: Design, verification and assembly of printed circuit boards (PCB). The applicant is be be extremely self-driven in assemblying of existing pcb(s), while re-designing and testing as necessary. The applicant will be required to generate extremely accurate and descriptive documentation of the project(s). The testing will require the applicant to constantly interact with embedded system [MicroControllers, DSPs and FPGA] and thus is expected to have a good understanding of their usage. A design project will be assigned to the applicant for a full board level design test and verification. The application and specs of the design will be discussed during the on-site interview.
Requirements:The applicant must be familiar with at least one of the following PCB tools Eagle, FreeCad, ADS, Cadence Layout Tools and Altium. Requirements:The applicant must be familiar with at least one of the following PCB tools Eagle, FreeCad, ADS, Cadence Layout Tools and Altium. The applicant is expected to have excellent communications skills to present and generate the necessary documentation. HW Engineer
Job Description
The engineer will be in charge of assembling, testing and designing the electronic circuitry that will be part of the RTneuro Wristband . He/she will complete any of the following tasks: Assembly of surface mount components in either Rigid (FR4), rigid flex and/or flex PCBs. Electrical and functional testing of the assembled PCBs to guarantee accuracy of results as dictated by the design requirements document. Design of sub circuit blocks to support the RTneuro Wristband in any of the following areas: memory subsystem design, Integration of digital/analog sensors and/or power management subsystem design among others.

Job Description
The engineer will be in charge of writing the firmware for the RTneuro Wristband. communication with remote clients via BLE among others. He/she will need to write test cases to assess functionality, power consumption and demonstrate results that show the design meets the provided requirements.

SW Engineer
Job Description
The engineer will be in charge of writing the software to implement the Router bridge interface with the cloud. He/she will complete any of the following tasks: Program the Interface with the BLE remote device, program the parsers and the real time data structures needed to handle incoming BLE data, program the Interface with the cloud via the use of the Websockets protocol, program the parser to handle incoming cloud instructions, data compression and real time filtering among other tasks. He/she will need to write test cases to assess functionality, troubleshoot potential software bugs and
