Two faculty positions available at UNH ECE

I am writing to inform you that the department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of New Hampshire has two open faculty positions. I would appreciate your help in disseminating this information among your students and colleagues.

The first position is in the area of embedded computing. The successful candidate will work in one or more areas related to the design and deployment of embedded computing devices, embedded sensors and sensor networks, and embedded actuators. The faculty position will complement the research interests of UNH ECE faculty in one or more areas, including wireless networking, VLSI, signal processing, and human-computer interaction.

The second position is in the area of microelectronics or optoelectronics. The successful candidate will collaborate with members of an interdisciplinary faculty cluster that is being developed in the Flexible Electronics Research Center within the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences. The planned cluster is also seeded with tenure-track positions in high resolution imaging and characterization of molecular devices (Department of Chemistry), and device physics and electronic materials (two positions in the Department of Physics).

In addition to the research activities, the successful candidates will be expected to contribute to the teaching of electrical and computer engineering at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Both positions are accepting applicants at all ranks.
