Position Summary: The intern will develop network simulation tools and product complimentary operational SW tools for the Radio Access Network team. Simulation may involve traffic emulation of 3GPP LTE standards. RF performance analysis and other lab/network data analysis & tools development will also be part of job responsibilities.

In this position, either directly or through others, the incumbent will:
             3GPP LTE Radio Access Network
             Support Samsung LTE Macro and Small Cell products
             Virtual emulation network for Capacity and traffic analysis
             Commercial network performance predictions via data analysis
             Automation of mundane & repetitive activities
             Automation of MOP, Audit & Monitor network activities
Degree/Background/Experience Required:
BS EE or CS
Knowledge of wireless telecommunications is must. Preferred should have school projects in the domain of 3GPP LTE technology. Strong understanding wireless telecom RF principles, LTE protocol knowledge (PDCP, RRC, MAC, etc.. ).
Requires understanding of RF characteristics.
Experience with Network protocol analyzers, RF network emulators, Vectors, etc. will be helpful
Experience in MATLAB,RFSIM, equivalent will be helpful
Should be proficient in automation tools development (any programming language or scripting will be fine)
