EE Undergrad Research Opportunities with Prof. Anantram

Professor Anantram has two excellent undergraduate research opportunities for spring quarter as follows:

1) Device Modeling Software: Project is focused on Device Modeling (nanotransistors) using quantum mechanics. The student's project will be focused on working with existing Matlab code and converting to C code and linking to mathematical libraries, and parallelizing code for supercomputer use.  Knowledge of both C programming (skill level should be high) and differential equations are required. Only for EE 499 credit. Send e-mail to Prof. Anantram with resume, skill set, unofficial transcript and an explanation of why you want this research experience.

2) Measuring current and photocurrent in nanodevices: The student will write Labview script to record data of current-voltage in nanotransistors and solar cells in the Microelectronics lab at UWEE. Needs diligent record keeping abilities and a love for instrumentation, Source Monitor Units and should be excited by nano to pica Amperes of current! Only for EE 499 credit. Send e-mail to Prof. Anantram with resume, skill set, unofficial transcript and an explanation of why you want this research experience.
