Engineering Leadership Program at Green Mountain Coffee Roasters
PROGRAM SUMMARY:
If you love what you do, then you’ll love doing it here!
GMCR’s Engineering Leadership Program is designed
for recent graduates who have a passion for technical excellence, highly
collaborative work teams, continuous process improvement and share in
our values.   Program participants can expect
challenging rotational assignments with hands-on learning and
application.  The program strengthens technical and leadership skills
while broadening understanding of the manufacturing processes of GMCR’s
innovative K-cup portion-pack beverages, grooming program
participants for front-line manufacturing leadership positions.   GMCR
embraces the value of highly engaged, high performance work team (HPWT)
environments.  HPWTs are semi-autonomous work teams which are typically
30% more productive than traditional organizations
and extends the elements of structure, focus, discipline and ownership,
 into all aspects of work.
ELRP is a fourteen–month long
rotational program offering four assignments.  During each rotation,
program participants are deeply immersed in the daily life-cycle of
K-cup portion-pack manufacturing including coffee roasting,
packaging, maintenance and product distribution, all while supported
with customized mentoring, individual and peer coaching, and
individualized plans to further development.  Each assignment is
tailored to ensure participants are meaningfully contributing
to GMCR’s strategic objectives and driving business productivity and
profitability.  Assignments are available at five U.S. manufacturing
locations:  Vermont, Tennessee, Virginia, Washington and California.
Throughout the program, participants are considered
full-time employees and eligible for GMCR’s standard benefits package.
After successful completion of the rotational program, participants
will be considered and assigned to roles such as:  Industrial Engineers,
 Manufacturing and Equipment Engineers, Roasting
