Summer Internship Opportunity with OneEnergy Renewables

OneEnergy Renewables, a developer of utility-scale clean energy projects and active participant in environmental markets, seeks one or more paid summer interns in Seattle to support its efforts to develop large scale clean power projects. This is an opportunity for a diligent and motivated individual to manage a variety projects related to renewable energy project development, markets, finance and technology.  A primary focus will be given to utility-scale solar photovoltaic projects (approximately 2-50 MW in size).  

Interns will join a talented and committed team that is dedicated to expanding the use and availability of clean energy while achieving ambitious financial goals and building company value.  The role will feature close work with company executives across a range of functions and topics that will depend largely on qualifications, interest and priority. 

Potential areas of focus and desired qualifications:
  • Research and analysis of various PV system configurations and interconnection requirements (engineering background preferred)
  • Developing and refining models to estimate production/output for solar PV systems (engineering background helpful)
  • Construction cost estimating and scheduling with emphasis on site preparation for solar projects (construction management background preferred)
  • Graphic design for preliminary layouts of solar arrays and potentially other renewable energy technologies (graphic design and/or experience with CAD or Google Sketchup a plus)
  • Research and analysis to facilitate site selection for projects under consideration
  • Analysis to explore supply/demand dynamics for electricity pricing and solar PV in specific markets
  • Interns may draw upon undergraduate, graduate and/or professional experience


Compensation:
This may be a part-time, full-time or project-specific role with compensation to be determined dependent upon experience.
