Description:
We're building a custom android device, and we're looking for a talented engineer excited about combining their skills with embedded hardware and software development. You'll be working with a senior engineer to evaluate a reference design, evaluate and modify an Android board support package, and write Android application code. You'll be involved in transitioning a product from prototyping into production. We're a small team looking for a motivated individual who can assume key responsibilities.

We're looking for someone who has:
Software development in Java, C#, or other high level language (as a bonus, if you've rolled your own Android app you could show us)
Embedded software development experience (enjoy the challenges of real-time, speed and memory sensitive design constraints)
Microprocessor circuit design (you like figuring out electrical schematics, and can read a bus timing diagram)
Strong attention to detail and a record of delivering results in a team with high responsibility

Term: intern/co-op 6 to 9 months (potential immediate start)
Location: downtown Seattle

RESPONSIBILITIES
WatchGuard is looking for current undergraduate or graduate student for a 2 month paid co-op. This position will report to the IT Development Manager and will support the generation of complex SQL database queries / reporting. The role requires the ability to analyze current software, understand business requirements through interviews with business stake holders, and the development of complex SQL queries to generate reports.
- Quickly and under limited direction, understand current complex SQL programs.
- Understand and extend current reports as required
- Interview and develop requirements for extensions and new reports within different organizations
- Develop well designed / documented software solutions
