Internship Opportunities with Apple

iPhone Camera Design Intern
The iPhone group is looking for a Camera Engineer Intern with responsibilities for evaluation, qualification, implementation and tuning of camera subsystems in iPhone products. Duties include research into both current and future camera technologies, working with both product design and electrical engineering to physically and electrically integrate the parts, tuning the solution for optimal image quality, and design of production line testing setups.

The applicant should be familiar with megapixel CMOS image sensor technology, lens selection and qualification, and implementation of camera systems in mobile products, and have expert knowledge of imaging algorithms (auto-exposure, auto white balance, etc). Experience with mobile communication products is an advantage.

Required Experience:
  • Pursuing a BS/MS EE or equivalent
  • Good fundamental EE skills
  • CMOS image sensor experience including interfacing and tuning

Antenna Intern

The iPod Engineering Division has a strong history of designing evolutionary consumer electronics that have touched millions and changed the way people listen to music. The iPhone is the next step in that evolutionary process.
This candidate will work closely with other RF and antenna design engineers, mechanical and industrial designers, and EMC engineers to integrate the antenna design in our products while focusing on the augmentation of some of their measurement systems. Specific responsibilities will include writing and verifying RF test and measurement software. Strong programming and communication skills are required.

Requirements:
  • BS/MS (in progress) in EE, focus in RF or Antenna a plus
  • Excellent communication skills required, both written & verbal.
  • Detail oriented - taking data, using Excel, and making meaningful tables/graphs/averages.
  • Programming experience with C, C++, ANSI C is a must
  • Experience with RF testing equipment is a huge plus
