We’re seeking Engineering students who are graduating between December 2010 and June 2011 for our Network Leadership Development Program. These are full-time positions that start with a dynamic 36-month rotational program that is designed to develop future leaders for our industry Network organization. You’ll rotate through different engineering functions (listed on back) gaining valuable experience in each.

Why the Network Leadership Development Program?
This highly interdisciplinary rotational program is intended to provide exceptional opportunities for new professionals and prepare them as dynamic technology leaders at VZW. This 3 year rotational program is designed to help the best and the brightest determine their future track, and hone their leadership skills through diverse work assignments and exposure to senior leaders and projects. VZW leaders and Human Resources partner to provide focus toward organizational exposure, which includes experiencing the depth of the Network and business practices. To achieve the utmost potential and success, flexibility will be fundamental. Being flexible to new opportunities and areas can only add credibility and advance skill and knowledge. NLDP employees can expect to relocate nationally at least once during their 3 years. Ultimately, the program's vision is to develop competitive leaders with the skills and experience to perform well in various roles and add team value rather than focusing on one specific function.

Initial interviews will be in Fall 2010. Final selections will be made by first quarter of 2011. The first day of employment can be expected for the final selected candidates in June or July 2011.

Program Qualifications:
• Bachelors or Masters degree, preferably in Electrical Engineering or Technology based fields
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 (Graduation date must be between December 2010 and June 2011)
• Demonstrated Leadership experience in work, extracurricular or school activity.
• Minimum 1 intern or co-op experience strongly preferred
• US citizen or permanent resident status required
• Mobility within the US until permanent assignment

Additional preferred qualifications:
• Strong interest in the wireless telecommunications industry
• Solid understanding of engineering concepts & drive to learn
• Long term interest in a management role responsible for leading a high performance Network team
• Proficient in office computer applications: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access
• Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Able to work flexible hours and support night and weekend work as needed
