Environmental Innovation Practicum: SmartGrid - Is it "Smart enough"?
Peter Christensen (Battelle's Pacific Northwest National Laboratory)
Tuesday, November 2
Johnson Hall 175, 4:30-5:50 p.m.
"Smart Grid" adds substantial IT "smarts" to bring digital intelligence, real-time communications, and control throughout the power system to operate the electricity-supply grid as never before. This is interdisciplinary work at its best--a cutting edge discussion of how clean-tech, engineering, policy, and business models are intertwined and why it's important to understand the implications of each.

Open to all
