Description
A steadily growing Custom Automation & Packaging Machinery Manufacturer seeks a hands-on customer focused Electrical Controls Engineer to fill a new team-based staff position at our headquarters in Spokane, WA. Sporadic but planned travel to customer locations will be required during defined phases of the project development cycle. Responsibilities (Under Supervision):
• Review and analyze customer provided project specifications to prepare a detailed project submittal, bill of materials (BOM) and project plan specification.
• Utilize electrical engineering skills to create project drawings, utilizing AutoCAD to document and provide cost effective control solutions.
• You will design equipment control systems using established design standards with an eye to current technology and industry trends
• Based on engineering drawings and customer provided project specifications, you will utilize specialized development software supporting a number of widely used PLC's and HMI’s to create sophisticated automation and control applications.
• Commission equipment, including final acceptance, prior to shipment. Commission equipment at customer's facility as required.
Requirements
• BSEE from accredited university
• Ability to read and interpret technical specifications / drawings and translate those requirements into graphic and physical applications that provide automation and control systems for our growing customer base.
