My lab is seeking highly motivated sophomore or junior students to fill 1-2 undergraduate research positions. Our lab studies the interaction of light and spins in solids for quantum information and magnetic sensing applications. More information can be found at https://sharepoint.washington.edu/phys/research/optospinlab
Possible projects include experimental design, instrument control and data acquisition, setting up optics, and simulations. Research can be performed for credit-hours during the academic year. A paid summer position is possible for students who have worked 1+ quarters.
Only students with a technical 3.5 GPA or higher will be considered. Programming experience is highly desirable.
If you are interested please send me an unofficial transcript and resume. If it looks like you are a good candidate for a research position I will contact you for a meeting.
