Mfg/Service Test Engineer
Amnis
Corporation (a part of EMD Millipore) manufactures, distributes and services
cutting edge cell imaging systems. We are looking for a talented Test Engineer
to work in a fast-paced, service environment. You will have a key role within
the Manufacturing team and will serve as the primary resource in upgrading
imaging flow cytometers and test procedures. The ideal candidate will be an
enthusiastic individual with excellent technical skills and a strong ability to
problem solve, who will take ownership in this project and drive it to success.
- Dis-Assemble, upgrade, test, troubleshoot, and repair of complex Cell imaging system.
- Provide engineering support to achieve quality, cost and delivery goals.
- Improve product performance and customer satisfaction.
- Assist in reporting documentation and procedure issues, wiring diagrams, bills of material and mechanical drawings updates.
- Running tests to validate the system requirements, and completing a detailed formal report of the results.
- In house testing/upgrades of hardware/software systems.
- Proficiency with oscilloscope, VOM and other equipment.
Recent EE,
Mechanical, or Bio engineering degree/background, or hands on technical
experience in a manufacturing/service environment, good understanding of
analog, digital, and microcontroller base circuitry. Knowledge of Optics and
Micro-Fluidics systems
This is a
temporary position (9 – 18 months) with
the potential to be converted to a full time position.
