Phillip Yin and Friends American Dream
Foundation (PYFADF) was founded on the belief that every student should
have the opportunity to fulfill their educational goals. Phillip Yin, an
alumni of the University of Washington, is the Business
Anchor for the daily business show, Global Business America at CCTV
America in Washington D.C. He started the Foundation to help motivated
students by sharing a part of their financial burden associated with
going to a university.
Brief Program Information:
Eligible students must be current undergraduate
students at UW, with a preference for students in their first year of
study, either as freshmen or transfer students. They should be able to
demonstrate their passion and purpose, civic
engagement and leadership, and possess strong communication skills.
Lastly, they should be able to provide a compelling story told in both
an essay and video describing why the American dream is important to
them.
Ten selected students will receive $1,000. This scholarship is not renewable.
