New Laptop Requirements

Our department has recently implemented a policy requiring all EE students to have a personal laptop while they are EE students. *This new policy is effective AUTUMN 2014.* There are several reasons the EE department has initiated this policy:

• We can ensure our students are able to install and run Matlab and similar software systems routinely needed for EE courses.
• To transition out older and obsolete equipment in EE labs.
• To eventually reduce course fees for our students.
