We are excited to launch the Seattle MESA Tutoring Program in January 2014! I am writing to send you an update on our program and to let you know about opportunities to become a certified Seattle MESA Tutor. Please see below for some more details.
Our November *MESA STEM Tutor Training* workshop was attended by 14 potential tutors, and we currently have 8 tutors signed up and ready to go for our first tutoring cohort this winter.
*If you are interested in joining us as a Seattle MESA tutor beginning in January, please read on as we may have an opportunity for you!*
*Seattle MESA Tutors must commit to the following:*
1) Complete a 6 hour *MESA ST**EM Tutor Training* workshop
2) Register for the 2 credit winter weekly seminar (C ENV 490 C) that will meet Mondays from 3:30-4:30 in 211 OTB.
3) Commit to tutoring either Tuesdays or Thursdays winter (and hopefully spring!) quarter from 2:15-4:30 (this includes transportation time).
*If you are interested in joining our program and have not yet completed the 6 hour MESA STEM Tutor Training workshop**, please let me know by noon on Monday, 12/16. *We maybe able to schedule a second workshop early in January.
