KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a key member of the Xbox 360 Accessories Test Team, your key responsibility will be to ensure that we are identifying and developing testing methodologies that lead to best practices and implement the most current methodologies. You will be responsible for the understanding of Product specific requirements and asking the appropriate questions to resolve any ambiguities. Drive quality across all disciplines, providing guidance, feedback, and suggestions to improve quality practices across an entire engineering team. As the Senior Validation Engineer/Architect you will be the Test Strategist for the organization and focused on defining the testing process and setting the test team up for continued success. This will require significant participation across our E&D business partners and internal engineering teams.
The ideal candidate should have 10 or more years of experience in hardware/software development and testing. As the Senior Validation Engineer/Architect, you should be able to provide guidance to other personnel and lead by example. Also required is an ability and willingness to learn while having fun in a fast-paced environment and a strong ability to think as the Customer in order to be able to empathize with their expectations. Excellent communication and leadership skills are a must, as you will be working closely with strong and established teams such as Development, Design Verification Engineering, Project Management and other Business partners both internal and external.
We are looking for a senior candidate with the following proven skills:
- The ability to think both strategically and tactically.
- The ability to effectively work and collaborate across groups and division boundaries.
- Passion for mentoring people from a technical point of view.
- An understanding of state of the art testing techniques and methodologies.
- An understanding of the Xbox 360 Accessories Ecosystem and customer needs is a plus.
QUALIFICATIONS:
10+ years of Engineering/Testing experience and a proven track record shipping quality hardware/software.
Strong problem solving, communication both written and verbal and interpersonal skills.
Strong Statistical/Analytical background.
A passion for testing and driving quality upstream.
Solid foundation in testing methodologies and automation strategies needed.
Advanced capabilities in a few of the following areas preferred: Labview, C, C++, C#, Robotics, Accelerometers.
A BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
Experience and knowledge in the following areas is a plus:
