My name is Jocelyn McCurtain and I am the Director of UW Leaders this year. I wanted to contact you all and let you know of a special opportunity offered to UW Freshman, Sophomores and transfer students. UW Leaders is a leadership development program designed for students to not only build their own leadership identity but to create a close-knit community of students who are passionate about leaving their mark and make a difference on this campus. If you were involved with leadership in high school or you are looking to start now UW Leaders will give you a stepping stone into our student government on campus. UW Leaders not only offers weekly leadership development workshops but also incorporates quarterly retreats in which you can get to know and become friends with numerous student who share common interest and goals as you and wish to make our student government better with each year. You will also be paired up with an experienced mentor who either holds a position with student government or has made a difference in the greater Seattle Community.
